Janet's Watercolor and mixed media paintings have been included in many area juried exhibits and member shows, and received awards from Garden State Watercolor Society, Phillips Mill Association,  Coryell  Gallery, Artsbridge Group, and Mercer County  Artists (professional/senior). Solo shows  held at University Medical Center of Princeton, Mercer Medical Center Trenton and Berlitz Language School in Princeton. Janet lives in Pennington, NJ. 

About Janet's painting process: 'I love watercolor, because it's challenging and exciting.   In the process, it can bring pure pleasure and  plenty of  frustration. I want to capture light, a moment, a story, a feeling.'

Advice to self - ''blend patience, freshness and spontaneity into your colors and see if it comes alive. Cultivate the wisdom to stop before it's fully cooked. Then do another and enjoy!''

Teaching  Experience: Adult watercolor plein air and still life classes at Princeton Arts Council, expressive painting workshops in Princeton NJ and New Hope PA, Group therapy, creative arts therapy and yoga in clinical treatment settings; yoga classes at Princeton Adult School. Janet competed BFA BFA at Tyler School of Fine Arts, MCAT  at Drexel  University Creative Arts Therapy program; MA in Psychology at University of Santa Monica and certification in counseling, art education, dance movement therapy and yoga.
