THOM MONTANARI

My focus on the automobile, landscape, and nostalgia subject matter evolved naturally - it is has been my life-long passion for cars, the outdoors and reverence for the past that drives my creativity.  It all began while attending antique car shows as a young boy in my Dad’s Model B pickup and spending summers on Cape Cod.

After graduating from the Paier College of Art my career in Illustration began as a sketch artist in New York City, after which I decided to go free lance.  In spring of 2004 I completed a BFA in painting, and art history minor from Rutgers University, Mason Gross School of The Arts.  I have been published and exhibited with The Society of Illustrators in New York, and my illustrations and paintings hang in corporate collections and the galleries of private collectors throughout the United States and Europe.  I have also been the featured artist at the Ferrari-Maserati Racing Days at Lime Rock Park in 2004, the 2000 Castle Hill Concours d’Elegance, and Pittsburgh Vintage Grand Prix for 1998 and 1999.
