CECILE BRUCK

Cecile’s art reflects her passion for horses. For many years Cecile trained horses and enjoyed the opportunity to study the horses and their interaction with riders and with each other. Her fascination with these large animals gave her the experience to become familiar with the movement and anatomy of the animals. Beyond her passion for horses was the inspiration to become an equestrian artist instilled by her father Michel Mockers. Michelle is himself a well respected artist and is the last remaining survivor of the French Resistance in World War II. Cecile’s family background is full of creative individuals including painters, sculptors, poets, writers, musicians and even an organ craftsman. Creativity is in her DNA and her art reflects that. When the pandemic hit and the equestrian world along with many others closed, Cecile moved on to that which was inevitable. She focused on her art. Cecile’s preferred medium is oil on wood, in which she delivers a modern vision of horses.

Cecile resides with her husband and son in Hopewell, NJ.
